Frolicking funny Friday
For fun
Fluffy flying feathers falling
From pheasant’s fleeting flight
Firearm flexed from farmer’s forearm
Finally fixed the fleshy fowls fate

Stroll along the canal
The whale
🐳 The Whale
The whale let out a shrilling cry
A shoal of krill went drifting by
He opened up they went inside
He smiled and swallowed
I think they died.

Just a thought

—————————-
All Buddhist, Sikhs, Hindus and Christians
They go out on their sacred missions
To save the souls to their traditions
And all the while they cause divisions.
Why can’t we all live in harmony
Respect our lives, diversities
Preserve our rivers and our trees
And leave the world a better place
For all animals and the human race.

Is it me
Is it my age
is my patience running out
Every time I drive my car
I feel I have to shout
Is the bus lane for the L and Ns
or people in a hurry
Or school runs double parking
never saying sorry
Roundabouts and yield signs
cyclists Amber lights
Bite my lip silently
or else I get into fights
People step off sidewalks
in most alarming ways
Mobile phones and hands free
It’s easy to explain
Respect’s a word that’s lost its place
They stand and smile
blow smoke in face
And wonder why I stare in anger
They’re lucky I don’t drive a tanker

The Storm

Yet another storm has hit our shores
Not quite as bad as the one before
It’s of little consequence to the elderly
As flood waters rise above their knees
The promises that had been made
Election words which quickly fade
They look out now onto grey clad sky
Tears slowly fall, they begin to cry
The golden skies of recent past
The glorious light that didn’t last
The happy smiles the glinting eyes
Replaced by waves and Keening cries
Their thoughts were with the fishermen
The sheep and livestock out in the glen
The boats anchored out by the pier
They bow their heads, in silent prayer.
