A summer solstice
Haiku
A long day beckons
Pagan gods shine light upon
A summer solstice
Haiku
Haiku
rains forecast failed
Crops craving condensation
Skeleton harvest.

Fond memories
That friendly touch
That friendly touch.
A mask is formed in many ways
As in orchestrated plays
When we walk out in the street
We don a look for whom we meet.
For a friend a welcome smile
From a stranger we will recoil
For fear we may have to speak
Cover we will always seek.
Stepping from the shadows find
Welcome light peace of mind
A motion which is hard to face
Try to feel its warm embrace.

Haiku
heard a cuckoo call
‘Twas nature’s summer tweet
a season turning.
Open up unlock the gate
Open up unlock the gate
Life’s too short to stop-wait
No time to sit-procrastinate
Days weeks pass into years
Loneliness can lead to tears.
A mind full of fears-frustrations
Doubting confidence-complications
Girls-boys-sadness-joys
Masked behind clouded eyes.
Locked sadness gloom enshroud
Screaming silently out loud
So difficult now to penetrate
To open up unlock the gate.
Be sure you’re not the only one
An introvert-a lonely one
Trust my friend the air will clear
True happiness will replace that fear.
If you need a helping hand
To lead you through-understand
Reach out grasp that stinging nettle
Let that turmoil-torment-settle.

Just a thought
Just a thought
It is said that life is what you make it
Sometimes we put on our happy face
To just go out and fake it
I wonder why this has to be
For it’s not always what you see
Within the minds of those around
There just may be a hidden sound
eating at their dignity.
Searching for a friendly touch
A close embrace not so much
But someone they can turn to
Release the valve undo the screw
Who knows today it may be you
That will be by their side.

Spring
On an autumn day
With Its wondrous winds unfurled
A spring defeated.
