https://dailypost.wordpress.com/a visit last year to one of my favourite places, Achill island off the west coast of Ireland prompted me to pen these words . A deserted village captures the mood of the time around the famine and also remembers those who travelled to Scotland to pick potatoes in times past.

  Inhale the gift that silence brings

  Thankful for life’s sweet offerings

  Welcome in what comes your way

  Relax, enjoy a brand new day.
