Whispers in the sand

Be never one to hold a grudge
A whispered word, wink or nudge
Can send an arrow to the heart
Tear the lives of friends apart.

A pebble tossed into a creek
From the Centre ripples seek
Permeate the shifting sand
Underlying cracks expand.

Silence ought to play a part
Not ignite that fire to start
For future friendships can be burned
And ruin the lives of those concerned.
