Kindness shaped us

Winds whipped westerly while

Bodies bobbed – barely breathing

tormented, trafficked – Tragically torn

Wandering, wounded – Wearily worn

fearful faces – fractured,freezing

Cowering, cramped – Captive courageously Calling – crying

Sinking souls – Searching solace.

Would we warmly welcome – wrap

Or object, obstruct obdurately.

Let love be our lasting legacy.
